‘Learning from Each Other’ – since 1994
Planning the curriculum for an intentionally human sized, rural, all-ability school with progressive aims was always an exciting and a challenging task. Our founder students, and their parents, had to be guaranteed a full academic curriculum through to A level before the school even started or they weren’t going to come. We had to meet parent concerns that we wouldn’t guarantee the full range of subjects or wouldn’t guarantee that individual student subject choices would be met. And of course students would need vocational experience and opportunities to apply their academic learning. Exciting and challenging indeed!
